Underside Complete

The armament and undercarriage doors have all been added. It was a little fiddly to get every item aligned properly but nothing serious.

The underside is all done now. The cockpit is all that needs to be attended to on the upper surface.

The last remaining task after the cockpit will be some final weathering with pastel chalks.

This will need to be applied to the exhaust area to get some really flat colours on the metallics.

The other area of attention for the pastel chalks will be the small diamond shaped panels on the top fuselage. My references show some very flat black staining coming from these and flowing back along the fuselage in the direction of the airflow. I also have to pluck up enough courage to apply the fuel stain to the top fuselage...

As you can see here the canopy is temporarily tacked in place with blutac to serve as a cockpit mask.

You get a good idea of what the underside of this plane will look like, nice and busy with lots of details, all from the box as well.

The only details I added to the underside is the brake lines to each wheel and the conduits to the landing lights on each undercarriage leg. For these I used different gauges of copper electronics wire.

Well hopefully I will be able to add the finished cockpit update shortly so please stay tuned.

Cheers,
